- Saturday, Aug. 14, from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.—from Carnival Games Day
- Friday, Aug. 27, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.—Rummage Sale
- Saturday, Aug. 28, from 8 a.m.-3 p.m.—Rummage Sale
Current programs welcoming volunteers at Smith Village, 2320 West 113th Place in Chicago's Beverly neighborhood, are
- Thursday, Aug. 12, at dusk—19th Ward Movie Night
- Saturday, Aug. 21, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.—Family Fun Day
To get involved, plan to attend a one-hour orientation program on Saturday, July 24, at Smith Village from 10 to 11 a.m. or at Smith Crossing from 1 to 2 p.m
Opportunities for fulfilling service hours and school requirements will be offered to students under 18 years of age, bi-annually, starting in the fall of 2010, during campus seasonal outdoor clean-ups and other projects as they arise. In your application, please advise the Smith communities of any service hour deadlines and indicate that you are a student.
